I've never assembled a box spring before, and it seems sturdy for this price point. I ordered the twin size, and was able to put it together by myself except for one step - I wanted to stretch the slats all the way to the edge of the recessed area so the straps would be taut. Consider wearing gloves for assembly, lots of splintery wood. My only suggestion for the seller is they should put an extra of each of the smaller hardware bits just in case they got lost.
