Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. OK, first of all let me just say we did have an issue with shipping. The first one arrived and it had a blemish on the top. It had been hit at some point during delivery, so we contacted Wayfair and they were more than happy to send us another table. This table is darling! We needed something for a small dining area, and this fits perfectly, even opened on both sides. Allow some time to put together. It isn’t difficult, but did take some time assembling the chairs. Everything feels very sturdy. The drop leaf sections are easy to pull out and lock in place. It’s really nice for the price, but smaller than expected. It looks like solid wood, but the dimensions provided were false. The unextended length is 47 in and with extension only 59in. I expected 59- 70in. I ended up keeping it cause It looks good in my small room and it would be too much hassle to return it. Also the price was pretty good. It came the next day I ordered it..
