I really like these lamps! They’re different and whimsical and add character to our living room. I like the fact that you can just turn on the base, the lightbulb under the lamp, or both. It also has an option to charge a device. The on-off switches on the base. But if you want both lights on, you have to twist near the lightbulb. The reason for four stars is, the lamps I really light and can easily be knocked over and top easily when you’re trying to turn them on and off at the base but other than that, they are a keeper. The cord is also reaaaallllyyyy long, but you're able to hide the excess cord in the body of the lamp if you want. Assembly was super easy, and bulbs were easy to find. My one gripe, if I had to come up with something, is that it only has one brightness setting.
