These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert. These curtains are lovely. There is a sheen to the curtains and they are more sheer than semi-sheer, at least the white curtains are, which is what I wanted. They are beautiful curtains and look great against my grey accent wall. For my patio door, I used four panels, which actually hides the sheerness of the curtains, but still allows plenty of light through. I only have 2 panels on the family room window, but I plan on buying another set, as I like the fuller look. Then 1 panel for each living room window.
