The stool is nice. It is good quality but the foam in the seat is odd because it isn't evenly distributed throughout the seat so it kind of has a small hump which makes getting on the chair a bit awkward. I needed three new counter height bar stools to replace my very old ones. I was very specific in what I needed. I searched everywhere and landed on these swivel stool in dark grey but really more like light black. Once assembled they are solid. They swivel great and are very comfortable. The back is high enough for me and I like to lean back. There are no arms on the stool, but I am not missing them as I thought I would. You definitely need 2 people to assemble these. Some of the 'holes' in the first step where the cushion meets the backrest are not aligned very well. In one of the holes, a staple was in the way, so I had to remove it. The staple was for the fabric so by removing it, it was fine. That is the reason for the 4 stars, is the lining up the holes could be better. But overall, I was happy with the price, and the instructions were very easy to follow. Again, you MUST have two people to assemble it, or these will never get put together.. Anonymous. We’ve been very happy with the Gardnertown 26” swivel counter stools. They look far more expensive than they are and fit perfectly at our kitchen counter. I had a small issue with these barstools when they arrived. I received two different sizes of legs, which resulted in one barstool being higher than the other. I contacted the manufacturer, and they made it right by sending me a replacement set of legs in the correct size. I really appreciated their excellent customer service and how quickly they resolved the issue. The seats are pretty comfortable, although I do wish the backs were a little higher to provide more support. Because the backs are lower, they can feel like they sit a little too far back from the seat. Aside from that, these barstools are very pretty and sturdy. First chair took me a minute to put together as I had trouble aligning the screw so I started on the second chair. Second chair took 1520 min to assemble! Made me think the alignment might have been off on the first chair. Was able to get it put together after using quite a bit of force.
