If you're not ashamed then you should be. I ordered five of these items and it was a mixture of different kinds of screws, rod thread lengths, and finishes. One type of screw tightened the thing down, the other type did not. I get it that if these cost a dollar each it might warrant the poor quality of the order, but for the price NOT WORTH IT! Where have these been my whole life! I don’t know if I’ll ever use curtain rods again. Love the sleek look and installation couldn’t be easier. Wish they came in longer lengths vs only 3 ft lengths that have to be combined, but it’s understandable for shipping. Glides so easily and gives a more high end, modern feel to the room. Easy to cut with a multi tool. One thing we didn’t realize before buying add 12” to the overall height if wall mounting for the bracket. The ceiling mount doesn’t have the extra bracket, so we mounted to the ceiling instead since we didn’t account for the bracket when planning things out. Small change overall for us since we were going to mount at ceiling height either way, but requires mollies if you don’t get lucky and have joists in the right locations. Lastly, we didn’t use the screws or mollies that came with the mounts. They just weren’t substantial enough for us, eclectically with heavy, triple pleated, 95” curtain panels.. Jennifer. Very hard to find narrow base brackets that allow hook part to rotate. This is the one! We used them vertically to put curtains in closet door frame (no more sliding doors for us. This non-standard installation required some modification - basically drilling into the hook part so the screw can carry the modest weight of rod and curtain. Fortunately, the hook is solid metal, not hollow and was able to accept the screw and carry the weight. This is the second time we purchased these brackets for a vertical install for a closet door curtain.
