The mattress does appear to be more comfortable than the one that was being used by our toddler. We had one that used springs and was completely covered with plastic which I did not love. This mattress does not have inner springs, it is made of sponge, the dual-sided makes it suitable for infants and for toddlers by simply flipping the mattress from one side to the other. I do like that this mattress has a fabric cover which makes it less noisy that the one we had, but I’m afraid it will have to be washed so many times with a toddler that has learned how to take his PJs off including his diaper. The mattress cover does have a large zipper for removing which should make it simple enough for washing. There’s a label to indicate the side to be used for toddler vs infant but I’m still not sure which side is which. I took a best guess and seems to be working just fine. Another thing that is not great is that there is no cover to the mattress itself. Once the outer cover is removed there’s nothing over the sponge mattress, you’re left with the bare sponge; not a big deal, I was just caught off guard as I was expecting something over the sponge mattress and then the cover over that. Overall, it seems to be good crib mattress, and I hope it is more comfortable for my toddler. He does seem to sleep a bit better than before, but he can’t let us know yet.. Claudia. Hartland, WI. I was skeptical but it’s great quality and SO comfortable! I first bought one for my younger son a few months ago and just bought this one for his older sibling. It’s comfier than my expensive mattress! The first order from a few months ago said to let it fully firm up for 24hrs or more but when I got this one it said it only needs 60 seconds. I would say it’s true that it puffs up to almost full size within seconds but I recommend letting it fully expand for 2-3 hours before laying on it just in case.. Chrisy. Pennsylvania. I bought two of these for a pop-up trundle bed for guest use since it claimed to join into a king size bed. That is a different story. These mattress came vacuum-sealed and expanded to almost full size by the time I got the plastic off. The topper is nice material and can be zipped off for easy cleaning. I gave the mattresses about two days to fully expand and was surprised at how firm they are. Most "firm" mattresses are not very firm; however, I weigh just under 200lbs and I sunk in about a half-inch. It is a soft kind of firm, not a hard, cheap couch kind of firm. My wife laid on the top one and she was equally, pleasantly surprised. That says a lot, coming from her, as she has a bad hip and is very particular when it comes to mattresses. I do not believe you will find a better mattress in this price range and I would even venture that these out-match ones that are much more expensive. Very please with this purchase.. Chris. MI.
