I like the customizable shelves. Plan ahead take inventory of the sizes and weights of the things (storage tubs, boxes, etc.) you want to store to decide the perfect sizing for the shelves because once you build it, you don’t want to dismantle it for adjustments. Also, assemble this in the place you plan to keep it. The shelves are lined with particle board, which is flimsy but not concerning for me given this unit sits in a dark storage closet. The bookshelf is wonderful. Very sturdy and it looks high quality. As you can see I am using for our tv and it’s deep enough where the hdmi cords have room to be plugged in horizontally into the back of the tv.
