This shelf arrived packaged well with no damage. The instructions were fairly clear and the shelf is quite light making the building experience simple. The only hang up I had was with the back cover, as there are very many small screws and on my product the pre-drilled holes did not perfectly align with the cover's screw holes. Love this shelving unit. Got scared when the box filled with small parts arrived, but it was super easy to put together and love the solid wood shelves, none of that MDF board. Decided to use it under my kitchen counter. I just didn't use the top shelf, which was possible by just capping it off one level shorter. I purchased this to add shelving to my closet and I added wallpaper to the back slats. The unit is of a decent quality for a decent price, the instructions were easy to follow, you will need a Phillips head () screwdriver and you will have a few extra screws hardware pieces- I would recommend using the wall anchors for added stability..
