The size is smaller than other bowls..but that’s not a problem at all...hold plenty of food...we’ve been using them for different kind of meals...soup, pasta, stew... very versatile..but always beautiful. This pottery is very sturdy and you can even bake in this... yes! With a little bit of oil, your food will not stick while baking. Polish pottery is wonderful. BEAUTIFUL. I was worried that the bowls would feel thin and breakable, but they are not. They definitely have some weight to them. I have put them through the dishwasher several times and they are perfectly fine. The patterns are all beautiful as well.
