I found this gray cabinet easy to assemble. All I needed was my Phillips screwdriver. I did spray paint the backplates a dark gray and put nicer knobs on the doors. This is a great cabinet for the price. Assembly is easy but the doors don’t close flush no matter how we adjust the hinges. Plus the holes for the hinges don’t support the weight. I am OBSESSED! We purchased two for under our television and they are gorgeous! Note they scratch easily but nothing you can’t fix with a sharpie. They are a pain to build the instructions are a little confusing- just make sure you know which direction will be the front and back of the unit before you assemble; we had to rebuild one of ours. The doors were pretty annoying to get aligned but I don’t think that is unique to this product. One of the six doors does not function with the push to close so we have to push back the lever manually when we want to close it but the door itself works. The 2 smaller pieces arrived quickly so I went ahead and put those together. Assembly was simple as the instructions were clear and all pieces were marked clearly. The larger pieces arrived a week later and the box looked like it had a rough trip to our front porch. But there was no damage as everything was packed extremely well inside the box.
