Great little shelf for the bedside in a guest room, with a style that will go traditional, farmhouse, rustic or arts and craft looks. It's a taupe color with some roughing in the edges. This shelf looks beautiful, but installation was more difficult than expected. It was challenging to align and level the two wood pieces during assembly. I also don’t feel the base is sturdy enough to handle the pressure of a traditional pump hand soap dispenser. To avoid putting stress on it, I switched to an electric soap dispenser. Very bad packaging. The item arrived faster than I expected. I opened up the box and there was no cushion on both ends of the box.
