Just having to have emergency hamstring reattachment surgery to where I was laid up in bed for almost 6 weeks I was so afraid that I wouldn't be comfortable and not be able to get any rest to heal. That couldn't have been further from the truth. This mattress is firm and holds my body. I don't "sink in" like foam mattresses. It has just enough give in the padding on the very top so that you know you're not laying on " a board". I can only be comfortable being on firm mattresses and this is extremely helpful to my back and to my recovery for my hamstring. I wouldn't give this mattress up if God himself asked me for it. Much firmer, which at first I was not sure about, it provides a great, comfortable support for my stomach and side sleeping. Rolling around won’t wake your partner because the motion doesn’t carry. The edges are comfortable with just the right amount of additional firmness to keep you from rolling off. One of my favorite features is that the top material helps to keep me sleeping cool. It is thick, but fits my sheets with no problems. I also did not have any issues at all with off gassing smells coming from the new mattress. It is just fresh and nice. I loved that I received the item within 24 hours. Unfortunately, upon receipt of the item, the bottom of the box was opened. Also the mattress is not cut true to size.
