This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. My 16 year old was able to put this together by himself. However, the instructions were vague and there are 20 screws that came with it but no clear instructions on where they go. Mattress is firm but I think after use it will be comfortable. I like the thickness of it. The only thing is when folding as a seat it doesn’t stay on frame. It could be the frame is smaller.
