This chair is perfect for my space in my 1 bedroom apartment. It's nice to have another option for a guest to sleep with it's sleeper component. Some said the cushion wasn't super comfortable but I think it's fine. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the under part that comes out to make it either a recliner chair or a bed doesn't have anywhere to lock to the chair, so if you move a certain way, it can start wheeling away from the chair. Such a beautiful and comfy chair! It has a Velcro light strip along the bottom which change colors via a remote. It’s incredible cost and cozy. Two people can comfortably sit in the oversized seat and it’s so nice to be able to stretch your legs out comfortably when watching tv. It came in multiple boxes but was assembled in about 20 minutes. It involved attaching the arms and back and putting the feet on. Easy peasy. Anyone who buys it needs to be aware that the box it comes in will be bulging on every side and one of the pillows will have been stuffed down into the left arm. Extracting it take two people. The assembly instructions are not clear at all either. It’s nearly impossible to tell from the illustrations exactly how some of the hardware goes on. So take extra time and look ahead a few steps as there are illustrations that are helpful with this issue. The condition of the box and poor assembly instructions are why I only gave it four stars.. First, I have to say that with all the poor reviews regarding putting it together I nearly didnt get it. This only took 15 mins to put the wheels on. No issues. Second, so many have suggested this is good for kids. I would NOT recommend this for children. Unless your kids sit still and are easy on furniture, this is not good for kids. The back MUST be positioned against a wall (not a problem here, but if kids are going to be on it or its not against a wall, forget it. The back will likely snap off -its wobbly.) The unit itself is very sturdy though! Sitting on it while I write this and feels solid. Lastly, reviews said it was VERY hard- firm- and it is, but I love it! But again, a reason its not for kids, because theyre used to flopping down on cushy things and this is like plywood with a thick foam solid cushion on top ...when I go to flop down forgetting that its firm I realize quickly its like sitting on a step of cement. However, I do love this! Im thrilled that I got it! Its the right color, though in this lighting it looks gray but I purchased the black one and is indeed black. It is a Tweed fabric, so the white specks in the fabric paired with our lighting make it appear light gray, its not. It is not lovely to the touch but not as awful as it could be. My favorite thing about this is that its incredibly versatile! Im a small person so when I sit down with pillows behind me my feet touch the floor, the positioning is perfect for leaning back on (side ways and fully extended of course), and is the right size for an armrest (When I read armrest in the booklet that came with it I was like what armor rest No joke its just like an armrest perfect height for me). When you lay down on it its perfect for someone who is shorter and prefers firm surfaces to sleep on (though narrow, so know that). I have back issues, and suffer on air mattresses or soft beds. I LOVED that people reviewed it as being too hard because I knew it would be perfect for me! Were using this in a spare room. Its the right height for a low coffee table, can be seating or pull-out overnight bed, can be moved into the living room for an ottoman or chair, and fits just about anywhere. I was very concerned because I thought I was going to cover up a plug in the wall with the back of this however when you pull it out the bottom clears the entire outlet! The one thing Im not thrilled about is I think that in shipping the pull out portion was bent, its a little out of alignment but it still works fine, its just going to irk my OCD and I do worry about its function. I would never pay full price for this item. And honestly I would have expected it to be about 10 to 20 less than it was on sale, but it was absolutely worth it for as many different ways as we can use this.. Amber. Willowick, OH. This is perfect for my needs, I just wanted something that looked nice but also was functional. The color is a very nice gray and it fits the small space I had. It is hard but not that uncomfortable.
