This set arrived in several boxes and was a little daunting once we broke into them. It took about 5 hrs to assemble them all. The parts fit well together. Some of the screws are tedious due to their location, but luckily they are all pretty similar in build. Once you build one, it's basically rinse and repeat. This sectional is pretty great for the price in comparison with department store couches it ranks along with much more expensive sectionals. I would say the firmness is a medium firm. Not a super soft feel or not a cloud couch feel either. The chenille fabric is very good quality and the black is a true deep black not a charcoal like other brands models. I like the size and different configurations available. I also like that all the cushions have velcro to attach them in place. The rounded edges of the cushions give it a perfect relaxed feel.
