Solid and comfortable. My kids love these chairs as much as I do. Instructions are not good. Once I figured out the orientation of the cross slats (the wider length of each slat being on the underside, and the shorter length of each slat being closest to the chair seat -see picks) they were super easy to put together. I think I'll buy another pair to make a set of six.. Kyle. Bangor, ME. Thu Oct 05 2023

The chairs required installation and I had a heck of a time getting the plastic (usually wood) dowels into the holes! This is embarrassing to say, but I literally put them in the freezer for awhile and then used a hammer to get them placed in the dowel hole, otherwise I couldn't get them in. Once I figured that out, it went fairly smoothly and for 2 chairs, it took me ~20 min. The color matches my walnut dining table well. They are comfortable and modern. I really love these chairs. The construction is very sturdy, and they are so pretty. The roped seating is strong, but I am worried it could stretch over time. Beautiful in person. Love the back. I get compliments from visitors. Plenty comfortable to sit on. I’ve had them for over a year and we use them daily. Holding up very well. The wood is soft, so it dents if handled roughly. (My son’s chair has marks where he pushes it in against the table, but at least he pushes his chair in!) The marks are barely noticeable.
