Seat Belt Chair

The Seat Belt side chair is one of many offerings in this contemporary seating collection by award-winning Thai designer Nuttapong Charoenkitivarakorn. The design was inspired by the intertwining spools of fabric seen when visiting a seat belt factory. Nuttapong’s striking chairs are easily recognizable by the braided backside and stiletto profile. The straps are woven on a frame made of wood that is reinforced with metal. There are monochromatic and two-tone versions, each of which is available in many colors. We offer custom color matching for quantities of 16 or more, and the Seat Belt comes as regular-height and high-back dining chairs, rockers, and ottomans. All of these reflect the ethos that the Phillips Collection personifies: modern organic.

I am obsessed with this! I needed something that was an off-white. In some of the pictures it looked stark white and some it looked like a winter white so I wasn’t sure what to expect but the color is exactly what I wanted! A beautiful warm white and there’s a sheen to the straps that give it an even more elevated look. Can’t wait for the matching rocker to arrive! Bonus points for my cat loving it too haha.. Roxie. Ergonomic design: It naturally fits the curves of the hips and thighs, guiding the body to maintain a relaxed posture of "cross-legged sitting" or "kneeling sitting". This helps distribute body pressure and avoids leg numbness during prolonged sitting. The slim heart-shaped backrest can accurately support the lumbar spine, relieving tension in the lower back muscles. It is especially suitable for scenarios requiring prolonged sitting, such as office work, study, or meditation.

1. Assembly Instructions Note: This chair comes pre-assembled for your convenience. No tools are required. Unpack the chair and remove all protective packaging (foam, plastic wraps) carefully. Place the chair on a flat, level floor. Ensure the metal sled legs make even contact with the ground. Before use, gently apply pressure to the seat and backrest to confirm the frame is stable and secure. 2. Weight & Usage Guidelines Maximum Load Capacity: 330 lbs. Do not exceed this limit to avoid frame damage or injury. Intended Use: Designed for indoor use only, as a dining chair, accent chair, or home office chair. Do not use it as a step stool, ladder, or for any other purpose outside its intended design. Placement: Keep the chair on flat, stable flooring. Avoid placing it on uneven surfaces, thick carpets, or wet floors, as this may cause the chair to tip or slip. 3. Daily Care & Maintenance Regular Cleaning: Wipe the surface weekly with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and spills. Stain Removal: For liquid spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution (water + gentle dish soap) on a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean towel. Do Not Use: Harsh chemicals, bleach, abrasive cleaners, or scrub brushes, as these can damage the faux leather finish. 4. Safety & Precautions Child Safety Do not allow children to stand on the chair, climb on the backrest, or rock the chair back and forth, as this may cause the chair to tip over. Avoid Damage Keep sharp objects away from the upholstery to prevent tears or punctures. Do not place hot items directly on the faux leather surface. Floor Protection The chair legs are fitted with protective caps to prevent floor scratches. If these caps become loose or damaged, contact us for replacements. 5. Troubleshooting & Storage Unstable Chair: If the chair wobbles, check that the floor is level and all legs are fully in contact with the ground. If the issue persists, inspect the leg caps for damage. Long-Term Storage: If storing the chair for an extended period, cover it with a breathable furniture cover to protect it from dust, sunlight, and moisture. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
