Just having to have emergency hamstring reattachment surgery to where I was laid up in bed for almost 6 weeks I was so afraid that I wouldn't be comfortable and not be able to get any rest to heal. That couldn't have been further from the truth. This mattress is firm and holds my body. I don't "sink in" like foam mattresses. It has just enough give in the padding on the very top so that you know you're not laying on " a board". Also, I am a side sleeper and the topper accomodates hips, elbows, knees, etc. I do need to know the procedures for returning the mattress after 7-10 days, if we do not feel that it is the best product for us..
