Usually “firm” is not my cup of tea. However, as someone with chronic back pain and peripheral neuropathy it usually what is recommended for me. I just have not found them terribly comfortable and easy to relax in. So imagine my surprise when I fell asleep within a few minutes of getting sheets on the mattress. This week, I’ve been able to sleep for longer stretches than I’ve been able to in months. What’s more, I tend to move a lot in my sleep. Like, A LOT…..to the point where my old mattress would be several inches offsides from the box springs in the mornings and once or twice a month even partially off the frame. This bad boy, however, doesn’t seem to have moved a single inch since the install date. Thumbs up from this rather finicky and rambunctious sleeper. PS I also have sleep apnea. Just having to have emergency hamstring reattachment surgery to where I was laid up in bed for almost 6 weeks I was so afraid that I wouldn't be comfortable and not be able to get any rest to heal. That couldn't have been further from the truth. This mattress is firm and holds my body. I don't "sink in" like foam mattresses. It has just enough give in the padding on the very top so that you know you're not laying on " a board". I can only be comfortable being on firm mattresses and this is extremely helpful to my back and to my recovery for my hamstring. I wouldn't give this mattress up if God himself asked me for it. Mattress is fine, but the frame has an issue i can not turn off the lights under the bed everytime we get out of bed at night the light turns off it does not matter that on the controller I clicked off. Soft version is incredible for smaller folks and cushions the body very well. I could not lie down on my back for very long on my old foam Amazon mattress without having back pain.
