These are made of real wood, however, one of my shelves required me to stain it in areas where the original stain job was not the best. I happen to have stain that matched so it wasn’t a big deal. They were easy to mount and they gave you plenty of screws and anchors. They are pretty sturdy but the holes that the pegs slide into could be a bit smaller Which would reduce the slight wobble. The item color wasn’t as dark as pictured- was more gray hued. Also the directions weren’t clear and there were anchors included in the packaging that weren’t included in the VERY minimal, scarce directions that were provided.
