Great file cabinet; perfect for my new retirement home office. I finally retired and moved into a vacant family cottage only partially furnished. I happily left behind old and outdated metal cabinet and mostly metal desk; looked forward to new upgrades. I know it will sound like hype, but I've learned the hard way. I buy lots of stuff online and when it comes to knocked down furniture I have to assemble, I bypass my prime options and go with Wayfair. This wood decorative two-drawer file cabinet is a perfect example. It arrived fast (actually a day early). Package and contents free of any damage, dings, dents or scratches. Assembly took a bit of time, but worth it. Instructions say two people; was just me, didn't rush. One small flaw was the final step. Task involved inserting the finished drawers into cabinet frame and screwing in last of two small machine screws, one each side of each drawer (to secure metal glides). Three went in with multiple tries to align screw with threaded hole in glide. The fourth wouldn't go; I opted to improvise with a small wood screw left over from additional spare bits that came with this cabinet (another reason why I go with Wayfair). A matching L-shaped desk is due today; can't wait.. Daniel. Sandwich, MA. Thu Oct 22 2026

Love this file cabinet! It’s stable and sturdy. Not the easiest to assemble, though. If I hadn’t had experience with some of the hardware, I wouldn’t have known what to do. Also had no idea the side rails had to be taken apart for installation - thanks to YouTube for showing me that one. Overall, a quality product but could benefit from better assembly instructions.. Good value. However, one piece was missing; one piece of what was supposed to be five pieces of #13., which is an integral part of one of the five drawers. I double-checked and looked carefully through all of the packing material and it definitely was NOT there. My overall satisfaction will depend upon the ability of Wayfair to correct the shortfall..
