Solid wood however when I went to secure the one of the legs with the cross bar the whole for the crew bolt in the leg with an approx. an 1/8” off. I had to use a rat tail file in side the leg hole to open it enough for the bolt to align properly. Took about 20 mins to smooth out. The wood has that beautiful, rustic, perfectly imperfect texture that makes it look like it has a story—even though I ordered it from my couch while wearing pajamas. It’s sturdy, beautiful, and the perfect size. I added a pillow and throw, and suddenly my entryway is giving “cozy European farmhouse” instead of “please ignore the pile of shoes by the door.” My only complaint is that now I want to redecorate the entire house around the bench. 1010 would absolutely buy again.
