I received this item broken. The hinges on the door on the headboard were blown out, which really shows the quality of the wood and the product. The assembly instructions were not very straight forward, and that is coming from an engineer. Some of the pieces were a bit warped which made assembly difficult to make things flush. In certain assembly areas, there was very little room for a hand to turn a screw driver. A drill would likely damage this engineered wood if you're not careful, but using a regular screwdriver was very difficult. Besides the actual quality of the product, I was appalled at Wayfair's ability to replace the broken headboard. It took a month of me constantly following up and being sent conflicting emails, including a cancellation notice. This is a great bed, easy to build, sturdy, and the color is lovely. Our youngest loves his new big boy bed. We love all the storage for a small room. We also appreciate the drawers being on casters so that it’s easy to move them out to vacuum under the bed. I have a few minor gripes: figuring out the placement of the slats was awkward (it has improved from an earlier version of a similar bed, where each slat had to be screwed in; this one is easier). It would help to have guide marks on the frame as to where the slats should go. When the bed is finished, screws on the headboard are visible above the pillow. I don’t know why they’re not facing the back of the headboard. Lastly, I wish there were a cover for the drawers so that the things stored inside don’t get easily dusty. Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it. OMG I love love love this. It is everything I wanted. In my master bedroom. It is so beautiful and well made. The finish is satin and not so ultra white but white kind of soft but not off white.
