What a lovely piece! The stand arrived promptly and so well-packed. The directions were very clear and it was easy to assemble, but like the directions, you need 2 people for the bigger pieces. Of note: the directions state to put in the shelves after you have installed the back pieces with THIRTY screws; however, the long center shelf will NOT fit thru the center opening-it has to be slid from the back, requiring the removal of said screws! When you select a color, it is what you get. The delivery team, communication & onsite was a 5 star. Great job! However, the quality of workmanship is barely average. Split wood backing, had re-drill to be level. Rough plywood was used. Had to touch up stain on top of the tv stand. We chose this piece because of the glass panels - our 18 month old is obsessed with turning the cable box on and off. It is a huge TV stand. Tall enough to keep our 3 year old from turning the TV on or off, and big enough inside for lots of DVDs. The only issue we've had is after 3 weeks of the two toddler rapping on the glass panels, the plastic tabs holding them in place broke and one of the panels fell and cracked. I’m pleased with this purchase. It was a bit challenging to assemble on my own since I have short arms and the front and back of the unit are preinstalled. Also because the particle board in the back was a bit warped it was difficult to get the top to line up when assembling the final bolts. It’s definitely a two person job. But the solid word portion is good quality and I’m pleased the cherry color is a close match to my other furniture. If it’s delivered to your home when you are not there you’ll need a dolly to get it inside. It’s extremely heavy when all packaged together.
