I love this desk! I had been working on a small desk with no drawers for a few years and wanted an upgrade. This desk worked perfectly for my space and I love all the drawers. Also love the 2 outlets and USB ports right on top on the desk. Makes it easy to charge my stuff and plug in all my computer things. The assembly instructions were the best I have ever dealt with. Every piece was labeled and all the small screws, etc were in individually labeled bags. The instructions themselves were very good. I had no trouble putting it together myself (I am a 54 year old 5’ 3” woman). It did take me about 5 hours to assemble by myself. I probably should have split it up over 2 days, but nothing was hard. This worked out even better than I'd hoped. For one thing, it's a lot more solid than most flat-pack, self-assemble pieces. The desk and hutch top in particular are almost as hefty as real hardwood. And although it takes a bit of effort to put together, the machining and alignment of parts was really good (at least for my unit). It's not unusual for some of these to need a little extra help squeezing things together because a couple of the pre-drilled holes are ~1/32" off true in different directions, but not this time. One caveat: because it's nice and heavy and doesn't skimp on the fastener points, getting the hutch bolted onto the desk can be pretty tough if you're doing it solo. You'd need a hell of a strong back if you wanted to stand over the desk holding the ~40lb hutch arms wide while you gently line it up with the 8+ bolts sticking out from the desktop. I managed to make it work by putting everything together face-down on the floor and shimming the hutch up with a couple of foam mattresses, then standing it up once everything was bolted together. Fortunately, the sturdiness of construction meant I wasn't worried it would split under its own weight while I levered the whole thing upright. P.S. Overall, we are happy with the desk. There is one area of flaw with the joining of the wood at factory assembly. There are many pieces to assemble so this should be indicated when purchasing. The directions are not very clear. It would be good to have someone who is handy with tools and assembly put this together. The delivery did not go super smooth. The first order was damaged during transit and returned from FedEx. Wayfair did not contact me for reorder, I did that. It took over two weeks to receive the item. The hanging basket that goes on the outside of the desk with the hooks didn’t have the right screws I ended up using a regular screw. The only downside of this and the other 4 pieces of furniture that I have bought in the last four days from Wayfair is all the insane styrofoam packing. Great desk upgrade that I was looking forward. So much space! Quality material, seems durable. Don't use Wayfair's handyman services though, it's really iffy on their ability.
