I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to build. You do need a screwdriver for the door handles which is a little silly considering the rest of the pieces just click together. It is STURDY, I misaligned the one door and it took some serious muscle to get it apart. Given that the item is for cats who are notorious for chaos, I think that’s a good thing. The doors on the front are nice and secure, no swinging open and the side flaps for the litter box access are easy to use. My cat was swatting them before I had even finished the build. This is such a cute cabinet for a litter box. You would never know that that is its purpose. It assembled very easy and the sliding doors work well. There is room on the side for a little storage and I like that it included some cardboard for the cats to step on before exiting. My only concern is the back of the doors are fabric and my cats can be a little messy. It will be interesting to see how that holds up. Overall I'm happy and the cats love it too. Lots of parts but very clearly labeled. Packaging was superb not a single piece scratched or in disrepair. My husband avoided putting it together because of previous furniture assemblies but this piece gave his confidence back. No more open litter boxes for guests to see and smell and the cats have already used with confidence. 4 stars just because its definitely laminated wood and you can tell it doesnt appear as light as in the photo but overall works for our space.
