Curtain rod is actually the one bought and did a review on, now with the blackout curtains. The curtains are velvety and the bedroom is now about 70 darker than before. I would have appreciated it mor if the bacoutwr curtain that faced towards the window was covered by a a much thicker material, it would have made a much better difference. I like these curtains but I knocked off one star because the background is a cool white and the description led me to believe that the would be more warm cream or light beige. (Cream bowl for comparison) I think that they will work in my room. Surface of the material is ever so slightly shiny and slippery, definitely a polyester feel.
