We have a "Florida basement" storage room in our modern organic coastal home that needed a light. This was perfect, nice (not cheap) quality and a little fun. When lit, the warm brown weave creates a neat little pattern across the ceiling. As some have mentioned, you will need to be directly under the fan to feel it but it does move air surprisingly well. This is perfect for us because I sometimes hang wet clothes on a drying rack or do some ironing in the center of the room. Gorgeous fan, but thought the blades were too small to really move air around our bedroom. To be fair, we hadnt installed it to really test it out. We have.a similar one in a smaller bedroom and it only pushes the air directly under as opposed to the more traditional ceiling fan. Our upstairs gets warm, even with central air.
