This is a beautiful, "statement making" rug. Colors are true to the pics on the website. If you stand at one end the beiges in the rug look quite light. If you stand at the other end it is substantially darker. Natural light and artificial light definitely changes up the colors too. Any way you look at it though it is beautiful. I like this rug because it’s modern yet has traditional quality. It is wool with bamboo silk so ithe design is raised 2 dimensional & shiny. The background is woven nicely with no shedding and is a putty/ taupe color & the sculpted portion is more beige. I have grandkids so I needed a color that is light yet forgiving. Two stars because it is a Super soft rug. However there is a big spot on the middle of the rug that is a different color than the rest of the rug! It’s like they wove in a different color fabric that is shorter and literally a different color. Looks awful!!! Looks like a stain on a brand new rug. Returning it, especially considering the price!. This rug works for me because it is under my bed- the rug I got does not lay flat at one end (like it was made wrong), so I'm hiding that end under the headboard and nightstands.
