Safavieh Natura Gerta Handmade Wool Rug

Rug seems nicely made, it is a bit thin but I will have to get a mat for underneath. The shedding is a lot. I have not vacuumed yet or been using since I am waiting for a room remodel and I jumped the gun on ordering this truthfully haha. Happy to have a natural fiber rug!. Leanna. Auburn Hills, MI. It's handmade in India from 65% wool, and 35% polyester – a material that's naturally durable, hypoallergenic, and stain-resistant. Beautiful rug but definitely will need pad.. Rhonda. Murfreesboro, TN. Mon Oct 12 2026

This area rug brings a traditional aesthetic and classic warmth to your space with its wool construction. The hand-tufted surface provides a plush feel underfoot, while its classic motif pairs easily with your existing decor. Designed for busy households, it naturally stands up to spills and footprints, maintaining a fresh look over time. Its canvas and cotton backing provides extra structure to prevent sliding and curling on your floors. Plus, it is stain-resistant to make cleaning up everyday messes a breeze.

I've had this rug for over a year with no issues. It has texture without having big knots or loops. I like jute and sisal but not the smell or the shedding, so wool it is. I am super picky about my rugs. This rug arrived undamaged, with barely a scent and laid flat right away. It does not shed. I love that the edges are finished well, not serged which could fuzz or unravel. Easy to vacuum. It's very thick and soft underfoot, no rug pad. I have the 8x10 under a king bed in my guest room. I ordered the blue color (forgot what it was called at the time. Denim?) which is now called color 8? I absolutely HATE that Wayfair will no longer commit to naming its colors, heaven forbid the customers insist the rug that arrived doesn't match the color name or a photo we can barely see. Impossible to have faith in this company when it comes to rugs now. I was thinking of ordering the same rug in 9x12 for my family room but now I don't trust the color "8". Mine arrived more dominant in ivory with very narrow lines of blue, which was even better for me. It really lightened the room. But if you are looking for dominant blue from afar, this is not it. I will not be surprised if Wayfair starts eliminating reviews now. I rely heavily on reviews so I hope this helped you.. Kat. SE. Wed Jun 03 2026

Love this rug!! looks great in my guest room- highly recommend. Mairead. Newton, MA. Wed Oct 14 2026

Really beautiful rug that's soft on the feet. It does not have a stiff backing so it can bunch a little if there's no nonslip pad underneath. I just got it and have not seen the shedding others talked about, but it is interesting in that from the long side, you can clearly see cream and tan stripes, but from the short side, it looks the same.. Beth. Studio City, CA. Thu Jun 18 2026

Here's a hand-tufted rug that's brimming with texture and plushness, giving any room a cozy, welcoming foundation. It's woven using 100% wool, and it comes in gray and cream tones that blend nicely with their surroundings. A medium 0.35" pile height makes it just right for entryways, living areas, and bedrooms. And, to keep it from shifting around underfoot and to enhance its refined vibe, we recommend pairing it with a rug pad (sold separately).

For a luxurious feel and just a bit of whimsy, look no further than our rug. Made with 100% natural wool, these rugs provide a soft, squishy surface that you’ll love to step on as soon as you get out of bed each morning or beg you to kick your shoes off when you’re lounging around in the living room. This exudes a sense of peace and relaxation and a playful multicolor version that instantly brightens any room it's in, The rug is an attractive showpiece for any style. The pileless wool construction makes these rugs easy to clean despite their plush feel. Perfect for medium-traffic areas where comfort is a priority like the living room or bedroom.

As others have said, the colors in the photos are very misrepresentative - they are much more dull and grey. That said, the rug feels great underfoot and everyone in my house has spent time standing on it. There's no way a door would be able to pass over it and I feel like it would make a table or other furniture feel off balance, so would recommend more for a runner or area rug that sits in the middle of a room.. Sarah. Baltimore, MD. Thu Sep 24 2026

I love this rug! It’s so pretty and soft- perfect in my bedroom. I’m taking one star off because it sheds a lot. However, over time it has been shedding less and less.. Chelsea. New Jersey. Sat Apr 18 2026
