The reviews were good, but the bed has exceeded all expectations. We are 51 and 43 years of age and weigh 300 LBS between us. Weve worked and played hard this life. We have slept on this mattress for over a week now and every single time, as my 220 lb, blue collar husband wakes up, he comments that was the best sleep ever. Bought this for the primary bedroom. It is a little higher than I expected with my bed frame, but not so much that I need a ladder or step stool to get in bed. Mattress feels medium firmness, and after 2 weeks it has dramatically improved my back and hip pain. I have a unique setup where I have 2 queen beds together because I sleep with my 2 great danes and 1 great pyrenees. I needed to be sure this bed was supportive, with some bounce , because straight memory foam doens't hold up to the amount of weight that could be on the bed. THIS IS AMAZING. First the coils are stiff with tons of support. Exactly what I need! It's an honest 12" high which is important since I have a 12" mattress next to it and it was off in measurements, it would be uncomfortable. But most importantly its extremely comfortable. It's so freaking thick! This is my first latex bed after having a memory foam for over ten years. My biggest issue was my hip and having the right firm support underneath so my mid-section doesn't sink, but still feeling the fibers adjust to my body contour. Shipped fast. Compact package. follwed instrucitons and unrolled mattress and it opened out and expanded. Seems Solid. But as it was a pillowtop I think the suface seems soft and gets pushed easily into the bed untill the powerful spring keeps the bed in shape.
