The 55” W Electric Fireplace is beautiful. It is ornate and very detailed. I have put it in my master bedroom which has no architectural elements except for 5 panel doors and medallion trim over the windows. This fireplace is a real statement piece. It has at least 22 pieces to put together but all the pieces fit perfectly and the instructions were adequate. My husband did it by himself. I ordered white and it is white. Overall, is a decent mantel for the price. It is made of particle board and not the most durable. A few pieces had small chips but can be touched up with paint. I ordered the 50in linear electric fireplace for my bedroom and I love it. This is the second electric fireplace I have gotten and the other one I got was by a different brand and while I really like it, I like this one even more for its very subtle controls. I had to really zoom in so you can see them. From standing height you cannot see the switch and you cannot see the blacked out controls on the face of the fireplace.
