Leaving a second review as I don’t see my first one listed This product is made of really inexpensive pinewood with a very light spray paint is it a scratch and comes off when you wipe It’s listed as an outdoor potting bench when it actually rained water fell through the gaps of the countertop ended up in my drawer this took me an hour and a half to put together and I recommend highly if you want to last more than one summer just give it a varnish coat. It will extend the life of this piece and also make it waterproof. Overall, it’s a nice piece. The bench is beautiful. I love Wayfair. Its the instructions that suck. Though the right side drawer if off a bit, but I will handle that. Seriously!! I have built so many things from Wayfair. When I started ordering furniture 2 years ago the instructions and how the screws and bolts were identified was awesome. Now they are all thrown in a bag together. This is awful!!! Wood yes…balsam wood like and super soft. It’s so soft everything and I mean everything chips it, marks it and the black chips off.
