When designing the Napier Wood Fireplace Mantel for Country Living, we wanted to develop a style that emboided the classic and timeless appeal of colonial craftsmanship. We chose fluting, molding and trim accents to capture that casual elegance and sophistication, while bringing it into today's designer world. Three inspired finishes were selected to make the Napier more transitional to modern aesthetics. The Napier fireplace mantel is rich in detail and craftsmanship, reflecting both the artistry and care put into its construction. Designed for simple assembly, the Napier fireplace mantel transforms your fireplace into an easy DIY project that anyone can tackle, regardless of experience.

We were really looking forward to getting this mantle up, and overall, we are happy with the end result. The wood itself is absolutely beautiful—the natural grain, warm color, and solid feel give it a high-quality finish that looks fantastic on our wall once everything was finally put together. However, getting it installed was definitely a challenge. The assembly was not straightforward at all, and the instructions left a lot to be desired. We ran into an immediate issue with the hardware provided: the screws were flimsy, soft, and stripped almost instantly. We had to toss them aside and use our own heavy-duty screws to ensure it would actually stay secure. On top of that, several of the pre-drilled alignment holes in the mounting board didn't line up properly, so we had to break out the drill to widen some of the holes just to make the pieces fit together. If you are willing to put in a bit of extra elbow grease and have extra hardware on hand, it’s worth the trouble because it looks great once it's up. Just be prepared for a frustrating setup process!. Erin. NC. Tue Nov 03 2026
