Table is a little darker than the picture, which is ok. The table arrived with some damage. The package arrived torn and retapped on one end - one of the table legs has a good size chip damage at the bottom and one of the pre-drilled screws on the leg does not tighten up…it only keeps pulling out of wood. The wood grain has much more texture, and the finish is a bit darker than the item listing pictures indicate. I’m mixing woods in the room so the color is palatable. Delivery service was great. I searched around a while for a base with more visual interest and for the price this one checked the boxes. The surface finish has a less wood-like hand to it. Mango can have a different feel to it. I’m super happy with this. I almost didn’t buy it and looked for a long time to buy something else because of the one review that talks about crumbs getting in the crevices and having to vacuum it. I really hate crumbs and all of that but so far, it’s not been a big issue for me whatsoever. I have vacuumed it a couple times but they come right out. Beautiful table! Easy to assemble with 2 people. (I would definitely recommend 2 people, I don't even know how it would be possible for 1 person...) The finish is not a dark brown/walnut, it has an orange tint to the wood tone. Can seat 6 people comfortably. (I highly doubt you can fit 8 people.) It's almost been a year and the table is still standing. We use it every night for our family of 5, and it's the go to table when guests arrive. HOWEVER, the table is starting to become squeaky. Any time you apply weight to the tabletop, or try to move the table, it squeaks.... LOUDLY. We've lubricated all the screws and joints, placed felt between the joining wood parts, and tightened the screws. It still makes A LOT of noise. We would LOVE to find a remedy to this problem, because we LOVE the table. 48" Diameter Farmhouse Round Table is an amazing engineered table creation utilizing hand inlay. This very rare-to-find hand-made yet properly engineered solid wood table was proudly made possible from a lifetime of furniture manufacturing experience. The table base and top center bands are handcrafted using reclaimed solid New Zealand Pine that is specifically hand-selected, sourced, and imported for the final combined effect. The hand finishing is an open grain Farmhouse style wood finishing giving protection but maintaining the very natural effects of the reclaimed and solid woods used. Minor assembly of the top to the base allows easier placement into the home. This table pairs with many chair options as well as hutches, sideboards, consoles, kitchen islands, and many more beautiful options from the American Farmhouse Collection from Heritage.

Table is beautiful, it is unique and colorful. Table top did come cracked all the way through, but customer service has already ordered me a replacement. I cannot wait to find some chairs to match. *Update, the replacement came broken too (this time it was the base that was broken). The Prestow uses a simple butterfly mechanism - gently pull on either end of the table to 'open' the sliding mechanism and reveal the extension piece concealed under the top. Lift and unfold the extension piece to create the additional length. Why not pair these with any of our matching wooden cross back chairs for a sleek look? Available in either white and gray, cream and oak or oak. This product is real wood and so it will age, which can result in colour variations.

Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this.
