OK, the chairs came today and I was a little worried based on the 2 previous reviews, but I did manage to get them all together. That said, the code they used to label the pieces made little sense, so it became more of a trial and error exercise. The good news is you only need one tool, but if you try to use that little Allen wrench that’s included, you will probably be quite frustrated. I got a screw gun and Allen bit that made the the job much easier. However, be careful not to over tighten. Also, I found a rubber mallet to be useful, as not all pieces went together easily. Lastly, be sure to have a Workmate or work bench which also makes the job a lot easier. Maybe just pay Wayfair the 100 bucks or whatever it is and have them come preassembled. In any case, they didn’t go together easily but they did go together and only a few expletives were needed. They look cool and we are happy with them. The chairs are beautiful and well made. The packaging box looks roughly handled. But the chairs are not damaged. They are obviously pretty strong. The bottoms of the chair legs have pads to protect the floor. The floor protectors are a little misaligned but they do not show when the chair is upright. Only negative I would say is that the back, which is not padded, is low and not very comfortable if you are sitting a little slumped. But it is fine if sitting up straight. They are well worth the sale price. But they are not so wonderful that they warrant the original price.
