I’m happy to report that this king bed exceeded my expectations! The bed is made of real wood, which was important to me, and it feels incredibly sturdy. My husband assembled it in a couple of hours without any major issues. Once put together, there was absolutely no wobbling or creaking—it feels very solid and well-made. I did purchase a 2-inch box spring to provide additional support for our 14-inch mattress. Even with the box spring, there is still plenty of headboard visible, and the overall look is beautiful. The frame comes with four support slats, and each slat has two legs that extend to the floor for added stability and support. I was initially worried that the quality might be lacking or that the bed would feel rickety, but neither of those concerns turned out to be true. The craftsmanship appears to be very good, the bed is sturdy, and it looks fantastic in our bedroom. I would absolutely purchase this bed again and would confidently recommend it to others. It’s easier with at least 2 people and (if you’re the 2nd person go ahead and find you an allen wrench, it’ll go by faster than our 3 hours). Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it. It looks nice enough and functional for a spare bedroom that does not get used often. It is cheap, put together yourself furniture and the wood is very soft. I can imagine it getting very marked up with use. The drawers are not smooth at all and stick depending on what kind of carpenter you are. The price is fair for what you get therefor cannot be disappointed. There is also a nightstand that matches this dresser although a different brand. But together, you can’t tell the difference.
