Bed is assembled with bolts that are visible on the footboard which I don’t like. The fabric is linen and on the lighter side, not yellowish or grey. Hammered features are a nice contrast to the conventional upholstered bed design. Bed can be mixed with contemporary furniture or antiquish, like I have. All in all, I’d recommend. This is a good-looking and solid piece of furniture. As some other reviewers have noted, there were some manufacturing issues which made assembly challenging. Holes for the foot-end support bracket were not at the right height (or the "up" sticker was incorrect), holes drilled in the middle support did not align with the bracket, and some support slats were wider than the frame and needed to be cut down.
