It’ll take some getting used to but the aesthetics are pleasing to my eyes. I went from dark cherry finish with box springs down to a distressed white platform bed. I can’t stop looking at it every time I walk into my room! Disclaimer It took 2 people approx 3 hours to assemble. If you’re doing it by yourself it’ll take much longer. It’s easier with at least 2 people and (if you’re the 2nd person go ahead and find you an allen wrench, it’ll go by faster than our 3 hours). Tip The box is heavy and much heavier if you’re going upstairs, so get some muscles to help you. Also check off each item as you take it out of the box, to make sure nothing is missing.. Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it. Beautiful Walnut Bed. Packaged well as boxes arrived with obvious signs of rough handling. But, nothing was exposed, and no damage to the bed. Assembly was easy with slight adjustment to bed rail bolts. Only suggestion would be to drill small pilot holes for inner bed supports. Instructions are missing at least one whole step, but if you have some sense upstairs you should be able to figure it out.
