Each log is individually cut before going through a curing process. This process helps extend the life of the wood by preventing mold and mildew, insect infestation, and rendering them fire-resistant. All the logs are pre-cracked to prevent further cracking from the natural expansion and contraction that occurs with weather changes. They are then sealed with a clear coat of varnish for a glossy finish. To extend the life of your product, and protect the finish, please use it in a covered space.

This was good value for the price but it is OKAY quality. It looks nice on our front porch. The assembly instructions are not good. There is a front and back to the rocker legs so watch for that. Also be careful using a cordless screwdriver...we had some wood chip and broke off some of the screwheads. So manually screw in the last little bit of each screw.
