Replaced a large chandelier with this fan - light. Fan was easy to assemble and fills the space with a nice rustic look. Fan provides ample airflow and has has run timer allowing you to set and forget it. I my installation it provides just enough light for the area but if you need this for bright area lighting you may need to find bright bulbs. I have one observation for Meyda: if there's plenty of ambient light (daylight or a light fan/ceiling), the sculptural elements are readily visible. In our case, the fan is dark, in the same tone exactly as the light kit, and the ceiling is also on the dark side, so we are looking for a way to light the cones and straw. It is the perfect fit for my Florida Room Guest Suite. I will share that the light it gives is minimal. The space I am using it in is a naturally bright room because of the wall of windows I have. For me it is perfect and sets the right vibe. I would suggest an additional lamp or two if you like a well lit room. Package was not damaged and everything inside was in good condition. I would suggest two people for mounting and read directions well for a successful installation of this fan. The lightbulbs in the top portion of the fan will be difficult to change when the time comes, this may be my only con in regard to this fan. Included with the fan is a remote for ease of use. You can also turn on two sets of lights with the pull strings attached to the fan, one lights up just the top portion and the other lights up the main light globe on the bottom portion.
