This distressed finish is very durable and easy to touch up.

We were looking for something with more of a vertical footprint to make space in our bedroom and this was just right, size-wise. It looks great too, and it's nice to have real wood. Assembly took quite a bit of time, especially since there weren't predrilled holes for a lot of the screws, but it all came together. As others noted, it's good to be aware that the back panel is unfinished, so this dresser must be set up against a wall (which is necessary for safety anyway, with a secure fastener included). I wish the drawers had a slightly smoother or controlled glide, and plan to add some felt to quiet the closure. Overall, a solid buy and great for our space!. Anonymous. Whittier, CA. It looks nice enough and functional for a spare bedroom that does not get used often. It is cheap, put together yourself furniture and the wood is very soft. I can imagine it getting very marked up with use. The drawers are not smooth at all and stick depending on what kind of carpenter you are. The price is fair for what you get therefor cannot be disappointed. There is also a nightstand that matches this dresser although a different brand. But together, you can’t tell the difference. For heavily used surfaces, we also offer an optional Armor or Liquid Glass finish to increase its lifespan! Armor finish provides a medium satin sheen, our premium quality, post-catalyzed, alkyd-amino varnish is formulated to offer superior durability, and UV protection. It helps prevent scratching and denting. Liquid Glass finish provides a high gloss sheen, this upgrade finish is made from a two-part epoxy. Equivalent to 50 coats of polyurethane, the finish is tough, yet flexible and not prone to shattering from impact.

It still has an awful smell from what it was sealed with. I had it in my bedroom for 2 months and woke up with bad headaches because of the fumes. Also had to rewash my blankets and sweaters twice to get smell out. My husband also bought cedar and put at the bottom and the top of the lid and it still is overpowering the cedar smell. Brenda.
