There is a hole for an umbrella, but we don’t need one since ours is on a partially covered patio. If you use one, be sure to have a weighted base, since the table is lightweight. I absolutely love this piece. I put it all together in leass than 15 minutes. It was really easy since there are just about 16 pieces. It is very sturdy and looks great in my study. I have limited photos to upload here but the assembly is what I will focus on as it looks identical to the picture. Definitely worth the purchase!! Year later, SO UPDATE the nuts and bolts just fell out. I mean they are just decorative so nobody sits on them. It looks nice but just wanted to update u on that. The legs just fell off each chair.
