Ideal for both hard surfaces and carpets, this thick rug pad adds significant cushion, prevents shifting, promotes the longevity of your rug, and is easily trimmed with scissors to fit underneath any size rug. Made in America.

I bought this 3' x 5' rug pad to try to get my area rug to stop inching it's way across my hall carpet. I received it in the time specified and it was as described on the web site. When I opened it there was no odor coming from the pad. I didn't have to cut it which was nice. After vacuuming both carpets I placed the pad between the carpet and the area rug. I had to look up how to put the pad - felt side down toward the carpet and rubber side against the area rug. A quick set-up sheet would have saved me some time and effort. The pad has added some cushion which makes it nicer to walk on. As for the traveling area rug, it has slowed down and only moves a centimeter or so a day. I'm hoping as the pad grips the carpet more, my area rug will stay where it's supposed to. Overall, it is worth the purchase.. Lynn O. Santa Cruz, CA. Wed Sep 02 2026

Fast and easy to install, you won’t even realize it’s there as it helps prevent dangerous and frustrating bunching and sliding. Don’t let its low profile fool you. Rug on Carpet lives up to its name with a strong, solid construction built using our own adhesive application process. During this process, we coat both sides of a non-woven polyester textile with a special water-based, pressure-sensitive, non-transferable, dry acrylic adhesive. This is how a rug on a carpet achieves maximum gripping power, so you can walk across your area rug. Completely unfold to expose the adhesive side. 100% Felt rug pad designed to add comfort and floor protection under rugs. Reversible for use on hard surfaces and carpet, ideal for uneven surfaces, and reduces puckering under heavy furniture. It can be cut at home to custom-fit any rug. Ideally, the rug pad should be cut approximately 1-2" short of the rug perimeter. Your rug pad dimensions will be a few inches shorter than the size of the area rug. This is NOT a defect nor is it the wrong item, the rug pads are made this way to avoid causing the rug to have a lip which would get in the way of walking, a door opening etc.
