It’s a very sturdy couch, short compared to a real couch, but as expected when reading the dimensions. I picked it because a lot of the reviews said that the cushions were firm and not soft and I wanted to ensure it lasted me the 3 years I’d be int rh little apartment I was in. I will say it IS more firm than I expected, almost 3 years and haven’t softened up any, but I prefer that over them flattening out and becoming thin and very uncomfortable. I really love this storage bench. The purple is a rich, deep color that is gorgeous. The bench is sturdy and looks very nice in my bedroom. My only complaint is that it should have been simple to put together, but it was not. The screw holes did not align with each other very well, and it was really hard to work around that with two screws in particular. I am really pleased overall with this purchase. The color is a little darker navy than appears in the pic which is what I was hoping for. Seems very well made and the fabric looks high end.
