I bought this to organize my craft items. The shelves arrived disassembled in a box. The directions were pretty clear once I read it through and was able to determine what was meant because the pieces were all separated and labeled logically. I was able to assemble the shelving unit by myself within about a half hour. The shelving unit is much heavier and sturdier than I expected and I am very happy with the quality. This was very easy to put together and fits perfectly into my stacked washer/dryer closet. The only issue is that I have those large bottles of laundry detergent. I put one on the top shelf and the shelf has finally started to mold itself around the bottle, but the bottle really doesn't fit the shelf. However, the shelf hasn't broken, so that is a positive!. Sorry to disagree with you Rubbermaid, but no where on the instruction sheet included with the 3J05 sliding basket does it state anywhere on it that the brackets need to be 22" apart from inside to inside vertical bracket.
