My "wine rack" came pretty beat up (dents, scratches and chipped glass to name a few), BUT as this is designed to look like an aged/distressed fuel pump it served my purposes. My goal was to modify this into a Tesla charger anyway. Also, as far as assembly - the welded-in-place bolts were too long for the supplied cap nuts. So, many connecting pieces are loose. The chair fits my kitchen counter. I like the back on it and that it swivels. It was easy to put together right out of the box. Reason for 4 stars-the seat has the seam at the front, I would think it should be at the back. In order to do so you would have to remove the seat back and drill a new hole. The only surprise was that they were brighter silver in color than I expected; but still 5 stars. I thought they would have a heat-tempered finish. I fixed this by cold blueing it with Birchwood Casey Super Blue Liquid Gun, (typically used for blueing metal gun parts) giving them a glowing charcoal gray finish. I had a 32oz bottle from Amazon but it only used about 4 oz each (3 applications; 30 seconds each) - very easy to get professional results. It comes in smaller sizes.
