This is a really cute table, both style wise and in color. If you are not going to move it around I think the screws they have provided would be fine but being you are screwing into MDFparticle board a few of the screws did not get good purchase into the top and bottoms tiers. I have 63" between the sofa chaise ends, and could have taken a 34 or 35" round, but I didn't want to have to scoot around it every time we sat down. 30" gives a place for things.
