It's hard to tell from the photos the depth of the shag. It's quite "shag". It took several hours for the rug to flatten out but once it did, it looks great on my hardwood floor.. Janice. NY. Thu Oct 22 2026

This rug is extremely soft and helps dampen the echo in a room with hard surface flooring. Another bonus is that the textured backing doesn't slide on the luxury vinyl planks, eliminating the need for a rug pad. Being a white rug, I also appreciate that it is machine washable. It's not very thick but is perfect for a bedroom or basement rug to keep your warm feet protected from the cold floor. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is quality control. I purchased one large area rug and two smaller 2'x3' rugs. There was an inch difference in the size of the small rugs that is really noticeable if they are near each other in the same room.. Kd. The back of the fluffy area rug is covered with plenty of anti-slip grip spots which keep it from moving or sliding on the floor. Feature 1.57-inch-high pile, 400 gsm high-density shaggy surface, and thick sponge interlayer, the soft plush rug is luxurious, gorgeous, and comfortable. The fiber of the carpet is non-shedding, and safe for family members to play freely on. The variegated tie-dyed pattern adds a touch of pretty low-key, nothing flashy.
